Setting intentions for the coming month

Sometimes you have to touch your dream to remind yourself that you still have it. I went through an art exhibition and remembered interviewing the curator. I touched a collection of essays in a book store to remind myself that I still want to see a book of my own in one. I hadn’t actually forgotten those things, but life can sometimes have you just moving without flowing in any particular path. I needed to caress the smooth cover of the book I had no intentions of reading to remind myself to honor my seven-year-old self’s dream to write books I was interested in reading. Telling stories I was interested in listening to.

Sometimes you need to take a step back and remind yourself why you’re doing it. And to make sure to always add a new dream to the list.

Now, I don’t wish to be a curator or have my own artist room in a museum, but I stumbled across inspiration that fueled me, spurred me onto the goals I had almost placed to the side in place of everyday life.

It was my dream for so long to be right where I am today- serving in a foreign country, traipsing around France and helping as many people as I can along the way. So now, it’s time to dream a new dream. More importantly, it’s time to come up with steps to make those new goals and dreams more tangible so they can be achieved.

This in mind, I took some time to write out my intentions for the coming month:

I am continuing to manifest positivity and remembering to push myself to make my dreams happen while allowing room for grace instead of my typical brand of ‘desired but never achieved’ perfection.

It’s not technically in the form of a short, quippy Pinterst-esque quote, but it’s my intention all the same. Living in a space of abundance and positivity as I work towards the things I say I want. I intend to honor that by writing and designing more, using this blog as one way of doing that. Setting intentions for the month even though I’ve already set them for the year helps me to refine my way of thinking and focus on how to move forward in the best possible way. What is one of your goals or intentions for the coming month and how do you plan to achieve them? Share them in the comments and we’ll keep each other accountable 😊

As always, happy reading,
kacie micole
